It seems like a lot, but other than enabling developer mode and USB debugging it's just a matter of accepting the prompts that show up. It's critical to make sure you follow the on-screen prompts very closely. It works, just be prepared to pay and don't try and transfer your whatsapp to your new phone before you use it!

However, it did work (a few teething problems that meant it took nearly all day) and it is the teething problems (the steps could have been more detailed as I had to wait for whatsapp to give me a new code after waiting for 3 hours) and the fact that I had to pay £22 for software that will only be used once that caused me to stop and give this software a 4 star review instead of 5. So while I paid the price I probably wouldn't do it again. But I did find it a little difficult to justify paying the £22 (for a years worth pf software, fair enough) for something I will probably only use once. Now, I wasn't surprised to find that what I wanted to use the software for wasn't available in the trail version. My whatsapp chat history is so incredibly important to me that i decided it was worth downloading. I had a Samsung S9 and was transferring to an iPhone 11 pro max.
